Background of the Institute

The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Digital Asset Analysts(HKCDAA, hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") was established in September 2023, aiming to become the leading global association for digital asset analysts and actively supporting the Hong Kong SAR Government's strategic planning to build an international virtual asset center. As an important platform practicing the concept of "leading global innovative development in digital asset," the Institute is committed to providing authoritative professional talent qualification and certification for the global digital asset industry.

The establishment of the Institute aligns with the "Policy Statement on the Development of Virtual Assets in Hong Kong" issued by the Hong Kong SAR Government, responding to the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licensing regime launched by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission(SFC). Through systematic training and examination, it cultivates professional talents with solid theoretical foundations and practical capabilities.

The Institute brings together academic authorities and leading industry enterprises, comprehensively enhancing Hong Kong's leading position in the digital economy development of the Greater Bay Area, and helping Hong Kong become a globally leading digital asset hub. Through establishing a professional talent development system, the Institute is committed to promoting the standardized and professional development of the Web3.0 industry and digital asset market.
