Chartered Digital Asset Analyst (CDAA)
Certification Path of CDAA
1. Account Registration and Exam Application
Applicants need to register an account in Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Digital Asset Analysts. Please submit relevant materials for qualification review. After passing the review, applicants can then pay fees to take the examination of Chartered Digital Asset Analyst (CDAA) Level 1.
2. Preparation and Examination (Level 1)
Preparation Materials
Obtain the official mock examination questions designated to familiarize yourself with the test structure and examination format.
Training courses: Optionally participate in officially recognized professional training to strengthen understanding and application of core knowledge in Digital Assets.
Examination Arrangements:
- Examination format: Offline computer-based examination
- Examination scope: Digital Asset fundamentals, financial investment analysis, risk management and etc.
- Examination duration: 120 minutes
- A standardized scoring system is adopted. Candidates will receive examination scores according to unified standards, and those who meet the passing requirements will be awarded the Hong Kong Chartered Digital Asset Analyst Level 1 qualification certificate.
3. Advanced Certification and Professional Development
After passing the Hong Kong Chartered Digital Asset Analyst Examination Level 1, candidates can choose to register for the more advanced Level 2 and Level 3 examinations to further deepen their professional knowledge and skills, and obtain higher-level certificates.
4. Applying for Certification Qualification
After passing the required level examination, candidates must meet the following requirements to apply for official CDAA certification qualification:
- Professional Experience: Possess at least 24 months of relevant work experience in Digital Assets.
- Professional Recommendation: Obtain recommendations from two CDAA certificate holders or senior industry professionals, certifying the applicant's professional competence and professional ethics in the Digital Asset industry.
After passing the qualification review, an applicant become a CDAA certificate holders and obtain formal membership status in the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Digital Asset Analysts.
5. Continuous Development and Qualification Maintenance for Certificate Holders
CDAA certificate holders need to continuously fulfill professional responsibilities and maintain the validity of their qualifications, specifically including:
- Continuing Professional Training (CPT): Participate annually in professional training, academic seminars, or industry research projects designated by the Institute to ensure continuous updating of professional knowledge and skills.
- Compliance Review: The Institute will regularly review the compliance practice of certificate holders to maintain the authority and credibility of professional qualifications.
- Professional Information Updates: Certificate holders need to ensure continuous updates of their professional information in their personal profiles at the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Digital Asset Analysts, including job positions, industry sectors, and contact information.
